Hi, I use a mixture of dishwashing liquid mixed with water about 1 teaspoon per 500ml seems to work well.

If the dishwashing liquid and water doesn’t work and they are being persistent, you can also make up a Garlic-Chilli spray:
      • 2 cloves garlic (chopped finely)
1 teaspoon chilli powder (or a few chopped up fresh ones)
        1 litre boiling water
        1 teaspoon diswashing liquid

In a large jug add your garlic, chilli and boiling water and let to sit overnight.
Strain the liquid through an old teatowel (or something similar) into another container to strain out all the garlic lumps or they will clog your spray bottle.
Add the dishwashing liquid and stir it through.
Pour into your spray bottle and go get ’em!

The mixture will keep for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
Be careful not to get any in your eyes when you are spraying and wash your hands well.
